2016 Conference

Unapologetically You: Breaking Through, Taking Risks, Being Authentic

On November 4-5, the four Associated Colleges brought together more than 100 women for YWLI's 3rd Annual Community Connections Conference. This year's topic was "Unapologetically You: Breaking Through, Taking Risks, Being Authentic". On November 4th a group of professional women heard from Deirdre (Dede) Scozzafava, Commissioner of the New York State Tax Appeals Tribunal, and on November 5th college women heard from Sarah Angel-Johnson, Girl Scouts of the USA Chief Alumnae Officer.

Women of Resilence

On November 6 -7 , our Community Connections Conference, “Women of Resilience”, brought together college students from the Associated Colleges, Paul Smith’s College and women leaders from the Canton-Potsdam area.To kick-off the event, Mary Peterson, Commissioner at Vermont Department of Taxes, was our keynote speaker on Friday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m. at SUNY Canton. On Saturday, November 7, we had the opportunity to empower our students through workshops, a panel discussion and networking reception. We had a number of highly motivated women who facilitated the workshops. 

2014 Conference

On November 15, 2014, a “Community Connections” conference on the St. Lawrence University Campus brought together students from the four colleges and women leaders from the community to discuss women’s leadership, initiate mentoring relationships, and offer ideas about future programming.  Approximately 100 students participated in the conference along with 25 women leaders.  The speakers for the event were Dr. Dayle Smith, Dean of the School of Business at Clarkson University and Dr. Kristin Esterberg, President of SUNY Potsdam.
